14 Karat - Meh, I'll pass ...
The 14 Karat Lounge was deserted when I walked in around Happy Hour on a Thursday evening, which quickly led me to walk out and find a slightly more happening scene in the Downtown area. I mean, who wants to drink alone?
I admit - the name is pretty clever, given that it's located on Jeweler's Row and is attached to the Silversmith Hotel. However, given the lack of ambiance, the pricey drink menu and the fact that this entire neighborhood becomes a ghost town after 5pm, I would only recommend the 14K Lounge if you're a Silversmith Hotel guest looking for a late-night drink.
Otherwise, I'd avoid the 14 Karat Lounge - and really, Jeweler's Row in general. Unless, of course, you're in the market for a ring ...
