Event Overview: Each year on the second Saturday in August, the city of Chicago holds the Bud Billiken Parade and Picnic. This parade is the largest and oldest African American parade and hosts various contests for best float and other various categories. In addition, the parade is held in promotion of the betterment of Chicago Youth and enhancement of education. Over the years, a variety of celebrities have served as the Grand Marshall Bud Billiken Chicago Parade .

What to Expect: Enjoy the Bud Billiken Parade and Picnic this August on the second Saturday of the month, August 13, 2011, and watch the incredible floats ride down their 2 mile route.

• Dance and Music: Come out to the Bud Billiken Parade and Picnic to support your favorite drill teams and bands!
• After Party: Following the Bud Billiken Chicago Parade there are fun activities in the park to continue the celebration.
• All Day Celebration: The Annual Chicago Parade and Picnic lasts from 10am to 6pm.
