Chicago International Salsa Congress Location: The Westin O'Hare 6100 N River Road Rosemont Snow Days Chicago Location: Spirit of Music Garden in Grant Park 601 S. Michigan Ave National and international snow sculptors will work in teams to create 15 unique sculptures crafted out of manmade snow. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to vote on the best sculpture. Snow craftsmen will begin sculpting on site on Wednesday, Feb. 11 with voting scheduled to commence on Feb. 13-14, concluding that afternoon with an awards ceremony. Snow Days Chicago is also partnering with the Chicago Public Schools to include a student sculpting exhibition. Eight to 10 high schools will send snow sculpting teams to compete. Additional programming will include a snowboarding competition and demonstration. Competitors include many local snowboarders from the United States of America Snowboard Association (USASA). This Olympic sport has enjoyed tremendous growth in the country and now festival attendees will see it happen up close and personal. Also on the agenda are dog sled racing and weight pulling with Siberian Huskies. Snow Days Chicago festival hours are 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. daily; sculptures are viewable at all hours Tour of The Chicago Theatre Time: 12:00pm Tours take place every Tuesday & Thursday at 12pm Thursday tours from April to September. The running time for all weekday tours is approximately 1 hour.
