State St. Guides will share with you the stories of the visionaries who opened The Chicago Theatre, whose influence on popular entertainment in Chicago is still recognized today. Tours also include the photo exhibit in The Chicago Theatre's lower lobby, "Chicago: Three Centuries of Theatres." Lynn White Dr., on the Museum Campus The Chicago Park District presents the fifth annual Polar Adventure Days from 12-4 p.m. on three Saturdays, Dec. 12, Jan. 23 and Feb. 20, at Northerly Island, 1400 S. Lynn White Dr., on the Museum Campus. The program is admission free. Polar Adventure Days offer families the opportunity to explore Northerly Island and come face-to-face with live animals, engage in winter activities, watch ice sculpture carvings, and create nature-inspired crafts. Tour of The Chicago Theatre Time: 12:00pm Saturday tours occur on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 11am and 12pm. Tours will begin promptly on the hour. When possible, Saturday tours will feature a demonstration on the Mighty Wurlitzer organ. The running time for all Saturday tours is approximately 1 hour. Reservations do not need to be made in advance unless your party contains more than 10 people. $5 per person, no reservations necessary Other tour dates are scheduled seasonally. See the web site.
