Tour the magnificent Auditorium Theatre and marvel at the art and architecture of Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan.

Tours are available Mondays at 10:30am and 12 noon and Thursdays at 10:30 am. Tour tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased beginning 30 minutes prior to the tour at the Auditorium Theatre Box Office and in advance at Ticketmaster.

The Chicago Theatre Marquee Tour

Location: Chicago Theatre 175 N. State St.

The tour encompasses historical and architectural highlights of the building, including the grand lobby areas, majestic auditorium and backstage space (when possible) where performers through the years, have left their autographs on the walls of dressing rooms and corridors.

Guides will share with you the stories of the visionaries who opened The Chicago Theatre, whose influence on popular entertainment in Chicago is still recognized today. Tours also include the photo exhibit in The Chicago Theatre's lower lobby, "Chicago: Three Centuries of Theatres."

Midwest Film Festival

Adler After Dark

Location: Adler Planetarium - 1300 S. Lake Shore Drive

Kick-off your weekend early every third Thursday, 6:00 - 10:00 p.m., at the Adler Planetarium's 21+ event, Adler After Dark.

Enjoy cocktails and appetizers against the award-winning view of the Chicago skyline seen only from the Adler. Amble around the Adler's exhibitions or take in a sky or space show. See Saturn's rings or Jupiter's great red spot with your own eyes using the Adler's telescopes.

Adler After Dark is the only time you can peek through the Doane Observatory telescope, the largest telescope in the Midwest accessible to the public. Great for groups and makes for a very original first date, Adler After Dark has something for everyone!

Tour of The Chicago Theatre

Time: 12:00pm

The tour encompasses historical and architectural highlights of the building, including the grand lobby areas, majestic auditorium and backstage space (when possible) where performers through the years.

Saturday tours occur on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 11am and 12pm. Tours will begin promptly on the hour. When possible, Saturday tours will feature a demonstration on the Mighty Wurlitzer organ.

The running time for all Saturday tours is approximately 1 hour. Reservations do not need to be made in advance unless your party contains more than 10 people.
$5 per person, no reservations necessary

Chicago's Memorial Day Parade
