24th Annual Chicago Gospel Music Festival

The Chicago Gospel Music Festival is the largest outdoor, free admission event of its kind. The three-day festival offers local, national and international Gospel entertainment on three stages with more than 50 performances. The Chicago Gospel Music Festival serves to recognize and celebrate the creative, historical, communal, and social significance of Gospel music, which is an art form created by the African American community, having a great impact on American culture!

The Chicago Gospel Music Festival attracts visitors from around the country and abroad for a lakefront celebration of Gospel at its best. Gospel music has deep roots in Chicago's African-American community, and it's one of the fastest growing musical genres in the U.S. according to Billboard Magazine.

Park Grill Gospel Music Brunch
Location: Park Grill-Millennium Park
FOOD AND MUSIC FOR THE SOUL AT PARK GRILL GOSPEL MUSIC BRUNCH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, MAY 31 - JUNE 1

Enjoy great southern inspired food and traditional gospel sounds at the Park Grill Gospel Music Brunch during the 24th Annual Chicago Gospel Music Festival on Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Park Grill located at 11 North Michigan Avenue in Millennium Park. The Festival begins at 11:00 a.m. both days.

The cost for the brunch is $25.00 for adults and $10.00 for children 12 and under. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling the Park Grill at (312) 521-7275.

Voices from the Land
Location: The Chicago Botanic Garden 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, IL
Celebrate Chicago’s natural history with "Voices from the Land"!

Supported by a grant from the Illinois Humanities Council and based in part on local author Joel Greenberg’s Of Prairie, Woods, and Water: Two Centuries of Chicago Nature Writing, this program re-imagines our region’s history through readings and the musical accompaniment of popular singers Tom and Chris Kastle.


This free event is currently scheduled for two venues:
