31st Annual Chicago Jazz Festival
Location: Grant Park-Jackson Blvd. & Columbus Dr.
The longest running of the city's lakefront music festivals. For the past 30 years, the Chicago Jazz Festival has been a Labor Day weekend tradition. The festival celebrates the city's rich Jazz heritage and showcases the diverse talent of local, national and international musicians, with several different genres of jazz music represented throughout the celebration, the festival attracts both locals as well as tourists from around the world.

First Fridays at MCA
Location: Museum of Contemporary Art-220 East Chicago
A cultural and social way to end your week, the Museum of Contemporary Art’s (MCA) "First Fridays" series offers a prelude to the weekend with music, food, drinks and stylish atmosphere.
The first Friday of each month, come and put a cultural end to a long work week with the MCA’s weely occurring series enhanced with complimentary appetizers courtesy of Wolfgang Puck Catering and a cash bar featuring drink specials. Live music sets the scene and previews to new art exhibits provide conscious-raising, mind-expanding entertainment.

Taste of Polonia
Location: Copernicus Center , 5216 W. Lawrence, Chicago, IL
The Taste of Polonia is always held over Labor Day Weekend and this year we will celebrate our 30th anniversary! Entertainment will include bands from Poland, Kids' World beginning on Saturday, American tribute, jazz and polka bands. Come for the traditional Polish food and beer! Located in Jefferson Park(Lawrence/Milwaukee)and a block from the Metra and Blue Line.
