31st Annual Chicago Jazz Festival

The longest running of the city's lakefront music festivals. For the past 30 years, the Chicago Jazz Festival has been a Labor Day weekend tradition. The festival celebrates the city's rich Jazz heritage and showcases the diverse talent of local, national and international musicians, with several different genres of jazz music represented throughout the celebration, the festival attracts both locals as well as tourists from around the world.

Discover native plants, Chicago symbolism in the garden’s design and perennials that can be easily grown in the home garden. Meet in the garden. Tours leave every 10 to 15 minutes, rain or shine. Pre-registration is not required.

Taste of Polonia

The Taste of Polonia is always held over Labor Day Weekend and this year we will celebrate our 30th anniversary! Entertainment will include bands from Poland, Kids' World beginning on Saturday, American tribute, jazz and polka bands. Come for the traditional Polish food and beer! Located in Jefferson Park(Lawrence/Milwaukee)and a block from the Metra and Blue Line.
