Fall Fireworks Cruises
Location: Navy Pier - 600 E. Grand Avenue, Chicago
Celebrate the fall season on a Shoreline Fall Fireworks Cruise. Enjoy a dramatic, starlit Lake Michigan tour and the special fall Navy Pier fireworks displays. The special 45-minute cruises set sail at 8:30 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings from Friday, September 18th through Saturday, October 31st.
7th annual Naperville Wine Festival

The Naperville Wine Festival is not only a wine connoisseurs’ dream, but the perfect opportunity for the interested beginner to learn about the world of wine. OakToberfest

9th Annual Garfield Park Conservatory County Fair
Location: Garfield Park Conservatory, 300 N. Central Park Ave
Experience the excitement of a county fair in the middle of the city – the original urban hoedown at the 9th Annual County Fair on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Garfield Park Conservatory, 300 N. Central Park Ave.
Garfield Park Conservatory’s County Fair is an annual event celebrating both the annual harvest and healthy communities in an urban setting on Chicago’s West Side. The event will illustrate for visitors traditional harvest practices and new possibilities in urban agriculture.
Attendees can experience agricultural traditions, the best in urban gardening, and horticultural exhibits and demonstrations. The connection between plants, food and American heritage are highlighted through a variety of activities, demonstrations and entertainment planned for the day. As a family-focused event, the day is filled with the following down-home fun activities:
-Hands-on activities, games and a Midway Fun area for kids
-Friendly Farms Ltd. petting zoo and pony rides
-Compost demonstrations by UIC Extension Master Composters
-Food preservation demonstrations by UIC Extension Master Food Preservers
-Vote on next year’s One Seed Chicago

Tour of The Chicago Theatre
Time: 12:00pm
The tour encompasses historical and architectural highlights of the building, including the grand lobby areas, majestic auditorium and backstage space (when possible) where performers through the years.
Saturday tours occur on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 11am and 12pm. Tours will begin promptly on the hour. When possible, Saturday tours will feature a demonstration on the Mighty Wurlitzer organ.
The running time for all Saturday tours is approximately 1 hour. Reservations do not need to be made in advance unless your party
contains more than 10 people.
$5 per person, no reservations necessary
