The 19th annual fall festival will be held September 17 and 18, and will take place on Marion St. and North Blvd. This free two-day event will offer seasonal food from local restaurants, specialty micro-brews, great wines, music and a children’s area featuring a root beer garden. Local restaurants will vend their special fall recipes for this event. Available fall cuisine includes, ribs, smoked corn on the cob, brats, pulled pork, and more. Vendors will be selling food along North Blvd. throughout the event. Hand-crafted microbrews such as Samual Adams Octoberfest, Fat Tire, Harvest Moon, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and Leinenkugel’s Oktoberfest will be offered for event goers to enjoy. Those over the age of 21 will receive a wrist band, and will be able to purchase a souvenir mug. Premium wines from Trader Joe’s will also be featured. Six bands will be performing both Friday and Saturday evening covering many different styles of music from Blues to Cajun music. Friday’s line up consists of the Rick Simcox and the Tone Questers performing from 5 to 6 p.m., Reyna Larson performing from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and Paul Cebar performing from 8 to 10 p.m. Live music continues Saturday night starting with Localvores performing from 2 to 3:45 p.m., Chevere de Chicago from 4 to 5:45pm, Way Side Winders from 6-7:45 and CJ Chenier and Red Hot Lousiana Band from 8 to 10pm.
