Club Quarters - Solid rates close to the Chicago River
If you've just enjoyed a trip down the scenic Chicago Riverwalk (on the Chicago River), it’s worth stopping into the Club Quarters in the South Loop just to sit in their fancy (yet comfortable) chairs. The Club Quarters lobby served as a welcome reprieve on my legs, and also offered up some pretty great people-watching.
Probably the best part of the Club Quarters Hotel on Wacker Drive is its location. My favorite view of Chicago is on Wacker Dr. near Merchandise Mart, looking down the Chicago River in the shadow of all of the most iconic architecture the Windy City has to offer. The Club Quarters sits right on the river, so the views are spectacular and it's harder to get lost if you know that your hotel is, you know, on the River.
The lobby was busy with foot traffic on a Tuesday afternoon, so I was able to duck in and use their Wi-Fi without any questions.
If you're in town for leisure, there are several Chicago attractions within walking distance, most notably the Chicago Theatre around the corner. Also, the room rates are below-average given the location, so if you're on a medium-sized budget consider the Club Quarters.
