Now in its 17th year, Bike Chicago 2007 is back with more reasons to bike around the city than ever. Making the choice to bike can help you burn up to 25 calories per mile while joining in the efforts to reduce detrimental pollutants released onto the air. During May, June, July, August and September, more than 100 events will offer fun and exciting ways to promote the economic, environmental and health benefits of biking as an alternative form of transportation.

The Chicago River Rowing & Paddling Center (CRRPC) is the oldest boat club on the Chicago River. Founded in 1979, CRRPC has pioneered recreational use of the Chicago River by demonstrating and promoting the potential of the river for canoeing, rowing and kayaking. CRRPC provides coaching, equipment, and boat storage. Members range in skill level from beginners to elite competitors, and in age from 16 to 70.
