Event Overview: Residents of Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood open their garden gates to visitors during the annual Dearborn Garden Walk. This pleasant day out includes many beautiful gardens on Dearborn, State, Astor and LaSalle Streets and Sandburg Terrace, between Division Street and North Avenue.

Many of the walks offer small guides which describe all the gardens being shown. Most of the proud gardeners are on hand to discuss their green-fingered work. The Dearborn Garden Walk and is the oldest garden walk in the country and all the gardens featured have won awards. The event also includes architectural tours, activities for children and an exhibition.
