Durkin's - Unassuming college bar

OK, so the only reason I stopped into Durkin's was because it was right down the street from my hotel and I saw people in there. As it turned out, everyone who was in there also worked at Durkin's. So, yeah.

That being said, I did have a pretty good conversation with a couple of the employees and they were really friendly towards me. However, I didn't stay for longer than a quick drink because it was pretty obvious that this was a dive-y college bar and I'm, well, no longer in college. Though admittedly it was probably my scene 3 or 4 years ago, on the night I attended Durkin's I was kind of over it.

One good consequence of walking into Durkin's was being directed towards Kingston Mines, which I had heard about but had no clue that it was so close. (It's about a five minute walk around the corner.) I don't really have anything bad to say about Durkin's - I just wouldn't recommend it unless you're a college kid looking for a couple of cheap brewskies. (I know you're out there!)
