HI-Chicago - If You're Familiar with Hostels, You'll Love It
The only reason I ever checked this place out was because a local friend of mine was raving about how cool it was for young travelers, and I do have to agree. I was pleasantly surprised. I haven’t been in a hostel since my college days when I studied abroad, back packed through Europe and didn’t have a care in the world. I’m not as young and stupid as I once was, so I figured that a hostel would never interest me again. However, this place really surprised me. It reminded me of the best that hostels have to offer. It’s basically like a hotel but with a shared bathroom.
Ask for the private suite. It has four private rooms with a shared bathroom. The staff is extremely friendly and offer discounts to local attractions if you ask. They provide lockers for you so you never have to worry about your things. There’s a full kitchen available for everyone to use and they also provide free breakfast. The rooms are decent sized.
For hostel staying veterans, this place will offer the best things that you love about hostels, including the price! For those who have never stayed at a hostel before, this would be a good first experience! Definitely recommend this for young travelers on a budget.
