Hilton Chicago - Excellent location near Grant Park
In my opinion, the best part about the Hilton Chicago is its location. First, it's across the street from Grant Park, making it a great place to stay during the Summer months. Also, it's close to the Magnificent Mile - just walk north for about a mile or so and you're there.
The lobby at the Hilton Chicago is big, but there's not much going on in there and it didn't strike me as particularly 'comfortable.' However, there's a bar next door and some decent restaurants around the block. Also, Millennium Park and the tourist-y fun it's home to is also a pretty short walk from the Hilton.
Aside from location, other pros to the Hilton Chicago include the architecture - it's one of the most recognizable buildings in The Loop with its famous brick exterior. Also, the most prominent Hop On Hop Off tour in Chicago (the one I took) has a stop right at this hotel, making it especially convenient for Hilton hotel guests. Lastly, the views on the east side of this building combine the quaint beauty of Grant Park with that of Lake Michigan and the Chicago Harbor. Not a bad combination, if you ask me.
Overall, a great hotel for business travelers hoping to stay near the Financial District, but far enough away to enjoy some of the other sights and attractions in Chicago.
