Lou Malnati's Chicago - Excellent Deep Dish Pizza!!!
When you’re in Chicago you HAVE to eat deep dish pizza, and Lou Malnati’s is the place to do it! I’ve tried several deep dish pizza places but I think this is the best. I get the original Malnati Chicago Classic. It has a whole piece of sausage, buttercrust and tons of cheese. So good! It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. My waitress was super nice. Typical Chicago girl with the stereotypical accent and everything. The pizza doesn’t really take as long as some of the other deep dish places in town like Gino’s, where it takes 45 minutes to cook.
The best part of the meal was by far the dessert though. It’s called the chocolate chip pizza. I would have never ordered it if my hotel didn’t give me a free coupon for it, but thank god they did! It was amazing! Better then the pizza itself! It’s a huge warm chocolate chip cookie baked in a pizza pan and it’s served with vanilla ice cream. I can not emphasize how good this is! You must get it if you ever go to Lou Malnati’s!
But overall, this place is fantastic. Great food, great service. The perfectly Chicago styled restaurant.
