Chinatown Neighborhood Map

Chinatown is located south of the Printer's Row and Museum Campus areas. The heart of Chinatown is the corner of Wentworth Avenue and Cermak Road, also the key spot for the annual Chinese New Year parade along Wentworth Avenue. This crowded area bustles with activity and, of course, highlights are the oriental cuisine and markets. The Chinese Cultural Institute, 2145B S. China Place.

The Chicago Chinese Cultural Institute mission is to promote an understanding and education of Chinese culture and heritage to the general public. This cultural institute provides many services from workshops to language lessons to concerts, there is always something happening at the Chinese Cultural Institute.

Chinatown Chamber of Commerce, 2169B South China Place.

The Chinatown Chamber of Commerce aim is to educate the general public on the history and culture of Chicago's Chinatown. Maps of Chinatown are available here as are Chinatown guided tours.

The Chinese American Museum of Chicago, 238 West 23rd Street.

This fascinating museum offers a unique and compassionate history of the Chinese immigrant experience to America and about Chinese culture and history in general. The museum has regularly changing exhibitions and often hosts popular events such as educational lectures.

Dr. Sun Yat Sen Park, 251 W 24th Pl.

Honoring the Chinese revolutionist, Dr. Sun Yat Sen Park is a popular retreat with locals. This tree lined park is relaxing and peaceful, with many benches and picnic tables to perch on.

Pui Tak Center Building, 2216 S. Wentworth Avenue.

This beautiful and historical building has been a Chinatown IL landmark since the 1920's and showcases traditional Chinese architecture, decor and design. Now utilized as a social service agency, this gorgeous building is a must stop when visiting Chinatown Chicago.
