Party Rockin on Memorial Day Weekend in Chicago

There’s gonna be a whole lot to do this Memorial Day Weekend in Chicago! There is something for people of all ages to enjoy this beautiful three day weekend! 

Kick start your summer with some of the most exciting events in Chicago:

  • First on the list is Chicago's Memorial Day Parade! On May 23rd, the annual event will kick off with a wreathe laying ceremony at 11am at the Eternal Flame on Daley Plaza. The parade begins at noon and features marching bands, veterans' groups, and active duty military on State St. from Lake to Van Buren. 
  • Second on our list is the Chicago Gaelic Park Irish Fest that lasts from May 22-25 and features music, theater, storytelling, dancing, and family entertainment in Oak Forest.
  • From the 23rd to the 24th, celebrate Memorial Day weekend with the Belmont-Sheffield music fest located on N. Sheffield from Belmont to School! Come enjoy local bands, food, drink, and street vendors and relax on your three day weekend! 
  • Also taking place on the 23rd and the 24th, is the St. Charles Art Show. This free event is considered an award winning event by over one hundred juried artists. Enjoy good art, live music, and good company in downtown St. Charles. 
  • If you are feeling ambitious this Memorial Day weekend, then Bike the Drive is just for you! You can register your bike and take part in this scenic ride on the 24th with a celebratory after party with live music, breakfast, and fun contests!  
  • If you're feeling leis-zy after that long bike ride, the Hawaiian Pub Crawl called Everyone Gets Leis is the perfect way to relax and have a great time with your friends and family! Come to MB Financial Park, Rosemont, and enjoy live bands, bar specials, hot tubs, and fireworks.


  • Speaking of house, Bob Saget from “Full House” is gonna be in Chicago this weekend. He’s performing his surprisingly raunchy style of comedy at the Horseshoe Casino.
