Special Cruise to see rare Solar Eclipse expected to provide unobstructed views from vantage point of Lake Michigan

Chicago, IL: Shoreline Sightseeing is planning a special welcome for the Solar Eclipse on Monday August 21, by offering a 75-minute Lake Michigan cruise during the height of the eclipse activity.

Shoreline's Solar Eclipse Viewing Cruise will depart from the company's dock on Navy Pier's Dock Street at 12:45 p.m. Passengers can watch the eclipse's path over Chicago enjoying spectacular and unobstructed views from the water. The fullest solar blockage by the moon is expected to be at approximately 1:19 p.m. so passengers will be on board and center stage for this incredible experience. Special viewing glasses provided by the Adler Planetarium will be distributed to all passengers to enable safe viewing at all times.

Tickets for the Solar Eclipse Viewing Cruise are $25 adults, $15 children 3-12, free for children 2 and under. A cash bar will be available. Boarding will begin 15 minutes prior to departure. For information and tickets, visit Shoreline Sightseeing.
