Signature Room Chicago - Go for the view and a drink

It’s all about the view here. If you’re wanting to go to the top of a Chicago skyscraper, I’d recommend the John Hancock over the Sears Tower (The Sears Tower tends to be more fanny pack wearing tourists). Skip the observatory at the John Hancock, where you have to pay, and go straight to The Signature Room on the top floor. It’s just as good of a view and it’s free!

I’ve heard the food at the restaurant isn’t very good, but their lounge is great! The wait for a window seat is typically pretty long, but me and my friend grabbed a seat at the bar and didn’t have to wait at all. The view is phenomenal! You literally feel like you’re on top of the world. I recommend going during sunset!

The drinks are pretty expensive, but they’re also very good. I ordered a Sidecar Martini. Not typically a martini fan, but that drink was awesome! It says on the menu it’s Chicago’s best Sidecar, and I totally believe that.

Here’s a tip. The women’s restroom has an insane view with floor-to-ceiling windows. I didn’t get to see really (the men’s restroom is a hole in comparison), but the girl I was with couldn’t stop talking about the women’s restroom, so be sure to check that out.... if you can get in. I tried and failed miserably.
