St. Patrick's Day Lunch Cruises Return March 11 at Shoreline Sightseeing

Shoreline Sightseeing Celebrates St. Patrick's Day with 11th Annual Lunch Cruises; on Saturday, March 11

Chicago, IL: When it comes time for the “Wearing of the Green”, Shoreline Sightseeing is ready with its annual St. Patrick's Day Lunch Cruises on the green-for-a day Chicago River. Cruises will features an Irish lunch buffet starring corned beef and cabbage with all the trimmings. A full-service cash bar will be offer an array Irish beverage selections as well as other soft and hard drink options. Shoreline's talented guides will be on hand with a special presentation on how the Irish community helped the city of Chicago grow to become the world-famous metropolis it is today.

Shoreline has scheduled three 75-minute St. Patrick’s Day cruises; at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. As owner Chip Collopy notes, “Our St. Patrick’s Cruises offer options for before, during or after the St. Patrick’s Day parade. It’s a fun activity that appeals to adults as well as to families looking for a unique way to be part of Chicago’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.”

Cruises leave from Shoreline’s dock at the southwest corner of Polk Bros Park at Navy Pier. Tickets are $59 for adults and $49 for children ages 3 to 12. Tickets are available online.

In addition to the St. Patrick's Day Lunch Cruises, Shoreline will run guided Architecture River Tours on Saturday and Sunday (March 11 and 12) weather permitting. These 75-minute tours will depart from two locations: southwest corner of Polk Bros Park at Navy Pier and northeast corner of the Michigan Avenue Bridge. Please check daily schedule online.

Shoreline Sightseeing begins its 78th regular season with daily Architecture River Tours starting April 1; earlier weather permitting. Shoreline also offers Classic Lake Tours, Fireworks Tours, Water Taxis and a variety of special cruises spring through fall. Founded in Chicago in 1939, Shoreline is now in its third generation of family ownership.
