Tribune Tower Chicago - Awesome Architecture!
I noticed the Tribune Tower right away due to my interest in news and the Chicago Tribune. Plus, the building itself is really just fascinating to look. But it was after learning about the building on the architecture boat tour I went on that I decided I really needed to take a closer look.
It sits on the Magnificent Mile right across the street from the Wrigley Building. The Tribune Tower is cool because it actually has pieces of rock and stone from historical places all over the world like the World Trade Center, Great Wall of China and the Alamo. There’s even a moon rock in the building!
If you stand outside at the corner of the building, you can watch the WGN radio station live. There are big windows that show the radio broadcasters talking live. The building’s lobby is kind of cool to walk into but nothing special. It’s more about the amazing architecture on the outside of the building.
