Event Overview: Venetian Night Chicago was an annual Summer tradition at Monroe Harbor that combined a parade of colorful boats with a beautiful fireworks display over the shores of Lake Michigan. Unfortunately, Chicago Venetian Night was cancelled in 2009 due to city budget constraints, ending this annual event in Chicago after 52 years.

• Festive Boats: Chicago locals dressed up their yachts for Venetian Night in Chicago each year based on the theme, and the parade of boats lining the Monroe Harbor made this annual Chicago event one of the most popular every year. 
• Family Fun: Between the colorful boats, festive fireworks and dozens of vendors with food, face painting and other kid friendly Chicago activities, Venetian Night Chicago was one of the best family events in Chicago.
