Weiner's Circle - You've never had a hot dog like this

The Weiner's Circle in Lincoln Park is as unique a restaurant experience as you'll ever have, and the hot dogs are pretty good, too. (Thought I have to admit, I enjoyed the 'Snoop Dog' at the Dog House around the corner to the dog I had at the Weiner's Circle.)

We've probably all had some cashier or server snap back at us at one time or another, but never to the degree that you see at the Weiner's Circle. It sounds crazy, but that's kind of the secret to this hot dog joint's success. The drunker the clientele gets, the sassier the employees get - trust me, I saw it first hand.

My friend and I were a little too self-conscious (see AFRAID) to mouth off to the ladies behind the counter, who are so apt at talking trash that they can make Gary Payton look polite by comparison.

The food wasn't amazing - I was under the impression that my hot dog was burnt until I was told by my friend that that's 'how they're cooked here.' Hmmm, OK. The space is incredibly small, and remember to bring cash as you'll be laughed - or screamed - out the door if you try to pay with your debit card.  However, it's absolutely worth a late-night trip just to see the show. (Note: I walked by the Weiner's Circle again the following day and it looked like they were filming some sort of TV show or documentary in there - be on the lookout.)
