Lincoln Park Restaurants Chicago

There are quite a few places in the area to get a fancy meal. You can eat some of the foods that Chicago is known for, like pizza and hot dogs, at tons of places throughout the city, but these Chicago Lincoln restaurants will wow you even more than those will, and the prices will too!

  • Alinea is an upscale Chicago restaurant that serves mostly American food. The restaurant requires formal wear from all of their dining patrons, so don't forget to pack your jacket and ties gentleman! There is valet service available for Chicago Travelers who came by car and reservations are strongly encouraged. Once you sit down to your meal, we suggest the tasting menu and wine pairing over ordering a la carte. Critics have raved about the meals at this restaurant for years, calling it one of the best meals at a fine dining restaurant you'll find in Chicago! One of chef Grant Achatz' signature dishes is the 'Black Truffle Explosion,' so if you can't handle his 16 (or even 18) course meals, maybe you could go simple with this.
  • L2O is a seafood restaurant in Lincoln Park which also has an amazing tasting menu. They offer a "fresh perspective on fine dining" (their words, not ours) which basically means they're overly innovative with their cuisine creations, can charge a lot more and discourage children during the dinner hours. You'll get plenty of courses to taste throughout your meal here and can choose from some of the best wines around to pair with every course, and the sensational meal doesn't stop until the last bite of dessert. L2O is on the Michelin Guide, as well as Anthony Bourdain's List of Recommendations (in case our recommendation isn't enough for you to go on).
  • Charlie Trotter's has become one of the most talked about fine-dining Chicago restaurants over the years. They do charge an automatic 18% gratuity and don't have any cocktails on the menu, but there are plenty of other things that make this a meal that every Chicago Traveler should experience. The restaurant has received so much recognition and several awards over the years, including the title of "Best restaurant in the World" by Food & Wine. They offer world class wines to pair with every meal, which are best suited for their exquisite tasting menu. This is one of the best Chicago restaurants for vegetarians, as they cater to veggie-lovers with several menu options, including an entire vegetarian tasting menu that even meat lovers go crazy for!

Various Ethnic Restaurants in Lincoln Park Chicago

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba is one of the most famous Chicago restaurants, and serves Spanish cuisine and tapas in a trendy setting. Order a Sangria with your meal, or instead of one, and it will be hard for you to resist another. From the bacon-wrapped dates to the goat cheese in tomato sauce, this restaurant serves up tons of great options that you won't find at your average restaurant. They even have a variety of gluten-free options and serve brunch on the weekends. We'd recommend a reservation before any meal here.

Vanille Patisserie, Chicago

Vanille Patisserie is the best of French pastry in Lincoln Park

If Italian is more your style, you'll want to go with Sapori Trattoria. We'd call this a little more than casual, but they don't require a dress code or charge you an arm and a leg for a bowl of soup. Many people enjoy the ravioli's that this Lincoln Park restaurant serves, and the lobster ravioli and butternut squash ravioli are house specialties. Finish off your meal with a classic Italian tiramisu for dessert and then head off to see one of the nearby Chicago shows, like at the Apollo Theater, which is less than half a mile away.

One of the best Chicago Lincoln Park restaurants to get your sushi fix is Toro Sushi. Chicago is famous for their BYOB restaurants, and this is one of them! The prices are really good and the sushi rolls are always fresh and really creative. Bring a bottle (or two) and order one of their specialties, like the  'Oh my God' roll. You will not be disappointed in a meal here.

Popular but Cheap Restaurants in Lincoln Park Chicago

  • Del Seoul is one of the most popular Korean restaurants in Lincoln Park Chicago, and quite possibly in all of Chicago. From the kimichi fries to the sesame-chili shrimp sandwich and even the Korean tacos, the food is here great and comes our quick at prices that you really can't beat. This is some of the most creative food you'll find in Chicago without blowing your budget!
  • The Pasta Bowl serves Italian food at low prices. This is one of the Chicago Lincoln Park restaurants that works for the whole family, because there's something for everyone and it's cheap enough that you can afford to feed everyone and still have plenty of money for all the other great things to do in Chicago when you're done stuffing your face!
  • Litos Empanadas is one of the popular Latin Chicago Lincoln Park restaurants, and after (or instead-of) a meal here, you're going to need their choco-banana empanada dessert. That's just a must. For the meal, get the chori-cheese empanada - it's a house favorite by far, after the dessert empanada that is - and get it on the go so you can walk around and sight-see while you feast. The restaurant is best for take-out anyways.
  • Aloha Eats is another of the famous Chicago Lincoln Park restaurants, but this one is all Hawaiian. These Aloha Eats are cheap, satisfying and taste so authentic you'll feel like you just got leied. (See what we did there?)

Chicago Staples in Lincoln Park

Chicago Pizza

Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder restaurant is famous for its pizza pot pies and its grinders.

Chicago is famous for quite a few foods in particular. Here are the best Chicago Lincoln Park restaurants to get these famous eats in.

Chicago Pizza: Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Co is one of the best pizza restaurants in Lincoln Park Chicago, and makes the perfect post-Cubs game destination. It's a cash-only restaurant, so be sure to hit the ATM before you venture this way, and although they may sound odd, we suggest taking a stab (with your fork of course) at the pizza pot pies. This restaurant serves up lots of food and it all tastes fresh and delicious, so come get your carb on!

Hot Dogs: Franks 'N' Dawgs is home to some of the tastiest and most creative dogs in this part of town! There are so many different "dawgs" here that it's hard to choose one, but we suggest one of the "Dawgs Gone Wild" if you're feeling a little more adventurous than just getting a "Haute Dawg." They always have a "Dawg of the Month" that you could go with and a "Puppy Dawg" for those that can't hang... yeah, we'll say it... with the big dawgs. Definitely get a side of their famous triple truffle fries, which have even been featured on Food Network (as has the "brunch dog").
