Millennium Park

Talk about Chicago Landmarks, Millennium Park features some of the city's most beautiful sculptures as well as a ton of concerts, architecture, and performances. Millennium Park is home to Anish Kapoor's Cloud Gate sculpture, made entirely of stainless steel reaching 66 feet in height and 33 feet in length, drawing its inspiration from liquid mercury. Millennium Park also features an abundance of summer workouts, social events, and often serves as the back drop for a variety of films and other city functions. This national landmark is also located near a variety of theatres and shopping and like other great cities, is home to a Frank Ghery architecture. The park's Jay Pritzker Pavilion and BP Bridge were designed by this renowned architect who is famous for such significant projects as Los Angeles' Walt Disney Concert Hall and New York's IAC Building. In addition, during the winter months you'll be able to ice skate on the rink set up on the plaza.
