Shoreline Sightseeing Spanish Language Architecture River Running Four Times Weekly Starting May

Spanish Language guided tours running Saturdays; schedule expands to four times weekly in May

Chicago, IL: Shoreline Sightseeing will offer its popular Spanish-language Architecture River Tours at 9:45 a.m.  on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays beginning May 1. This is the third season that Shoreline has scheduled these special tours.

As Shoreline co-owner Chip Collopy noted, the tours have grown in popularity since the company began them in 2016. “We started with just one Spanish Architecture Tour a week. We knew our architecture guide, Jim Collins, was bi-lingual in Spanish so we felt confident we could offer our Spanish speaking passengers a quality tour experience. Since then, we are delighted to say that we’ve welcomed many Chicagoans plus visitors from around the U.S. and Latin America to our Spanish-language Architecture Tours.”

Shoreline guide Jim Collins, will lead the 75-minute tours in Spanish and will also be available to answer questions after the tour. Collins is bi-lingual and bi-cultural, having had the opportunity to live in Latin America and Mexico

As with all 75-minute Shoreline Chicago River Architecture Tours, the Spanish language tour will highlight more than 40 of Chicago's world-famous landmarks. Collins will share the history of Chicago’s dramatic rise from the Great Fire of 1871 to become the home of the skyscraper and a major influence on modern American architecture. The tour offers extraordinary close-up views along the Chicago River as well as amazing photo opportunities.

All Spanish language Architecture River Tours depart from Shoreline's dock at the northeast corner of the Michigan Avenue Bridge. Tickets are available in advance on Shoreline's website.

About Shoreline Sightseeing: Now in its 79th season, Shoreline Sightseeing operates Chicago's largest and most diverse fleet of cruise boats and water taxis with 10 major tour vessels and six water taxis. Brothers Chip and Matt Collopy are the third generation of family ownership.
