Apollo Theatre
With a rich history in had, the Apollo Theatre of Chicago offers guests 440 plush seats in which to enjoy shows. The Apollo Theatre has been owned an operated by a variety of people and has been home to a few musicals and now most often hosts comedy events. Second City Theatre
Located on North Wells Street, Second City Theatre has become quite the national theatrical treasure and landmark. Second City Theatre runs two main stages, one which seats 180 and the other 340 people. The Second City troupes write and perform their own comedic routines. This theatre company also has a troupe that runs a training group in Piper's Alley teaching others improvisation and the art of comedic performance and acting. Pheasant Run Theatre

Prairie Center For the Arts
Located in the Chicago city of Schuamburg, the Prairie Center for the Arts, a small, yet intimate 442 seat theatre hosts a variety of performances including musicals, dance recitals, plays and more. This theatre was first opened in 1986 and is also known for having a variety of youth ensembles who perform regularly. There is also a great deal of parking at this particular theatrical venue. Metropolis Performing Arts Center
Situated in the northwest suburb of Arlington within Chicago, the Metropolis Performing Arts Center offers a variety of wonderful programming to its patrons throughout the year. Known among patrons as one of the most intimate theatres in Chicago, the Metropolis Performing Arts Center house seats just 350 guests. This theatre, however, is also home to The Boiler Room, an 88 seat Jazz and dinner club as well as the Metropolis ballroom, which can be rented out for private events. Woodstock Opera House
Originally built in the late 1800s, what is now known as the Woodstock Opera House was initially intended to serve several separate purposes. The building functioned as the community's city hall, the public library, the firehouse, and even as an auditorium for stage shows. Shakespearean plays were performed here along with the creation of an actor's society in which many of today's famous personalities played crucial roles within. Once renovated, this building was renamed the Woodstock Opera House Community Center and now plays host to a variety of shows, musical concerts, and plays each year.
