Hyatt Centric The Loop –Best for…
Business Travelers:

Who says traveling for work has to be a drag? With 2,500 square feet of flexible meeting and event space plus business center services, the Hyatt Centric offers a place for any meeting or conference. Also, a 24-hour fitness center means you don’t have to leave your workout routine at home, complete with cardio machines, free weights and an array of state-of-the-art equipment.

Also best for Pet Owners:

The Hyatt Centric The Loop hotel is pet friendly. Guests can bring their cute companions so long as they alert the Hyatt at least three days before arrival, and pets weigh under 50 pounds. For up to six nights, there is a $100 pet fee for the duration of your stay. For seven to 30 nights, an additional $100 deep-cleaning fee is charged.

Hyatt Centric The Loop Amenities

The Hyatt Centric is complete with 257 spacious guest rooms spanning standard rooms to luxurious suites. Each room is equipped with signature bath amenities and a Keurig coffee maker stocked with complimentary coffee and tea. The hotel also offers complimentary WiFi and “Hyatt Has It,” a service that delivers food, beverages and travel essentials to your door.

For on-site dining, the Centric houses the Cochon Volant restaurant and Market as well as The Corner, which serves up complimentary specialty coffee, teas and snacks. Additionally, the AIRE seasonal rooftop bar offers panoramic views of the Chicago skyline in warmer months. Come up for a sip of one of the bar’s many craft cocktails, and drink in the bird’s-eye views while noshing on small plates. The space can also be reserved to host a reception or small event.

Year-round, Cochon Volant offers authentic French dining in its brasserie, bar and bakery. Its chic interior feels at home in Paris, as do classic French dishes spanning steak frites, plateaux de fruit de mer and pâtes. The neighboring market is stocked with gourmet cheeses, baked goods and French wines.

Hyatt Centric The Loop Location

It’s called Centric for a reason. The Hyatt Centric The Loop’s location enjoys prime real estate in the heart of West Loop. The hotel is just steps from a network of L stops and bus routes that access virtually every line needed to take you to surrounding neighborhoods.

Don’t want to hop on public transit? The area boasts an array of attractions within walking distance, like the Chicago Riverwalk just a half mile away, which features quaint cafes and live music in warmer months. Or, live out your Ferris Bueller dreams at the Art Institute of Chicago, just over a half mile away. The Institute is regarded as one of the world’s leading museums and is home to works spanning Pollock to Monet. Millennium Park is under a mile away as well, featuring the world-famous Bean, Cloud Gate, and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion.

Just steps from the Hyatt Centric, dine at Italian Village restaurant, which has been serving up classic dishes since 1927. Or, opt for American at the elegant Rosebud Prime. The Grillroom Chophouse and Wine Bar is another great steakhouse choice, offering all-natural steaks, seafood, pasta and wine. Just looking for a quick bite? There is also a Starbucks, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Burger King and Mcdonald’s all within a few blocks of the hotel.

Due to its central location, the area features a hotbed of hotels. The Central Loop Hotel, W Chicago, Kimpton Gray Hotel, Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago, La Quinta Inn & Suites, and Palmer House a Hilton Hotel are all within a few blocks of Hyatt Centric the Loop, as is another Hyatt: Hyatt Place Chicago Downtown The Loop.

Hyatt Centric The Loop –The verdict

This four-star hotel may not be the cheapest place in Chicago to crash, but its rates are competitive for all it has to offer: a central location, chic rooftop bar and 24-hour gym. It’s a no-brainer for business travelers, but also a great option for couples visiting the city without kids or singles looking to take advantage of Downtown Chicago’s nearby nightlife.
