Millennium Park

Millennium Park is one of Chicago's greatest city landmarks and features some of Chicago's greatest architecture, art, sculpture, and performances. Millennium Park is known for being home to Anish Kapoor’s Cloud Gate, a stainless steel sculpture reaching 66 feet in height and 33 feet in length, and drawing its inspiration from liquid mercury. Millennium Park also features an abundance of great events including various concerts, summer workouts, and more.

This great park also often serves as the back drop for a variety of films and other city functions. Millennium Park earned itself the title of national landmark is also located downtown near a variety of theatres and shopping and like other great cities, is home to a Frank Ghery architecture. The park’s Jay Pritzker Pavilion and BP Bridge were designed by this renowned architect who is famous for such significant projects as Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Concert Hall and New York’s IAC Building. Originally commissioned and planned in 1997, the park was then designed, complete, and reopened in 2004. Millennium Park is a Chicago landmark you will want to personally visit to fully appreciate. this twenty four and a half acre property was originally built as part of a beautification project for the city of Chicago and is a major city landmark that certainly distinguishes Chicago from other cities. Millennium Park also features the Lurie Garden, Harris Theatre, Wrigley Square and the Millennium Monument. With so many sights to see all in one convenient location, you’re going to want to spend a good chunk of time visiting. Millennium Park offers patrons a bit of greenery and nature in the middle of the steel jungle known as downtown Chicago.

Millennium is known as the city of Chicago’s “front yard” and serves as home for three of the city’s greatest museums including the Art Institute of Chicago, The Natural History Museum, and the Shedd Aquarium. Grab the family and head out to this incredible Chicago landmark at the center of the Windy City. The Art Institute of Chicago is home to one of the world’s largest collections of fine art and sculpture outside of Europe.
